Homes & Heroes Spaghetti Dinner Brings Community Together to Support Housing and Veterans

The first-ever Homes & Heroes Spaghetti Dinner was a tremendous success, bringing together community members, local businesses, veterans, volunteers, and supporters for an evening centered around one simple idea: helping others.

Hosted by Homes of Grace and Veterans Coalition of PA (VCOP), the event raised awareness and support for affordable shared housing initiatives and programs that serve local veterans throughout our community.

The evening featured an all-you-care-to-eat spaghetti dinner, pulled pork, ice cream from Dairy Queen in Sinking Spring, raffle prizes, community fellowship, and countless conversations about the importance of creating opportunities for those facing housing challenges while continuing to support the men and women who served our country.

A Community Effort

Events like this are only possible because of the incredible generosity of so many people.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, purchased tickets, participated in the raffles, made donations, volunteered their time, and sponsored the event. Every contribution played a role in making the evening a success.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the many businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes and helped spread the word throughout the community.

Thank You to St. John's Reformed Church

A special thank you goes to St. John's Reformed Church in Sinking Spring for graciously hosting the event and providing a welcoming space for our guests. Their hospitality helped create an atmosphere where community members could gather, connect, and support two important local missions.

Housing. Hope. Heroes.

The event also provided an opportunity to introduce many attendees to the mission of Homes of Grace and its first housing project in Berks County. Through affordable shared housing, Homes of Grace seeks to provide safe, stable living environments that help individuals move forward with dignity and purpose.

At the same time, Veterans Coalition of PA continues its commitment to supporting veterans through outreach, advocacy, resources, and community programs designed to ensure that those who served are never forgotten.

Together, these organizations share a common goal: helping people find stability, connection, and hope.

Looking Ahead

The success of the Homes & Heroes Spaghetti Dinner demonstrates what can happen when a community comes together around a common purpose.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored, and supported this event—thank you. Your generosity is helping create housing opportunities, strengthen veteran services, and build a brighter future for our community.
