Transportation Services
Serving those who served with safe, reliable rides to care and community.
What is the Transportation Mission?
In 2022, Veterans Coalition of Pennsylvania (VCOP) expanded its mission to meet another critical need:
getting veterans and their families where they need to go. From medical appointments to outpatient procedures, we provide transportation when no other options are available.
What is the Transportation Mission?
- In 2022, Veterans Coalition of Pennsylvania (VCOP) expanded its mission to meet another critical need:
getting veterans and their families where they need to go. From medical appointments to outpatient procedures, we provide transportation when no other options are available.
How It Began
- August 2022: Our friends at the IM ABLE Foundation donated a 2014 Mobility Vehicle One (MV-1).
- VCOP gladly accepted and began offering rides to veterans for both civilian and VA medical appointments.
- The demand for transportation quickly grew, and so did our fleet.
Where We Are Today
Our transportation mission now includes:
- Two additional handicap vans
- Two part-time drivers
- An average of 1,000 miles traveled each week providing safe, reliable rides for veterans and their families
Why It Matters
- Many veterans face challenges getting to and from medical care.
- VCOP is one of the only organizations offering rides for outpatient surgeries and procedures, filling a crucial gap in care access.
- Transportation is more than a ride—it’s about ensuring veterans can get the treatment, therapy, and support they need to live healthier lives.
How You Can Get Involved
- For Veterans: Request a ride to your next appointment.
- For Families: Know your loved one will arrive safely and on time.
- For Supporters: Your donations help us fuel vans, maintain vehicles, and expand this vital service.
