Every American flag tells a story.

A story of courage. Sacrifice. Service. Family.

This September, 660 American flags will transform a field in Reading, Pennsylvania, into a breathtaking Field of Honor—a powerful tribute to the men and women who answered our nation's call to serve.

But this display is about more than remembering the past.

It's about standing beside those who are still fighting battles we cannot see.

The Veterans Coalition of Pennsylvania (VCOP) invites the community to SAVE 22, a free Veteran Suicide Awareness & Prevention event dedicated to honoring our heroes, remembering those we've lost, and bringing hope to Veterans and their families.

Whether you're a Veteran, active-duty service member, family member, friend, or community supporter, your presence sends a powerful message:

You are not alone.

What Is SAVE 22?

SAVE 22 is more than an event.

It is a community movement that brings people together to raise awareness about Veteran suicide, encourage meaningful conversations, and connect Veterans with organizations that provide support, hope, and healing.

Through education, remembrance, and community involvement, SAVE 22 reminds every Veteran that there are people who care and resources available.

Because even one Veteran suicide is one too many.

Why 660 American Flags?

One of the most moving parts of SAVE 22 is the Field of Honor, featuring 660 American flags displayed for two weeks.

As visitors walk among the flags, they are reminded that behind every flag is a real person—a husband or wife, mother or father, son or daughter, friend, neighbor, or fellow service member who answered the call to defend our freedoms.

The display serves as a powerful symbol of remembrance, gratitude, and hope while encouraging important conversations about the invisible wounds of military service.

If you can't attend the opening ceremony, you're still invited to visit the Field of Honor during its two-week display to reflect, remember, and pay tribute.

This year, we're inviting our community to help us sponsor all 660 flags.

For just $22, you can sponsor one American flag and dedicate it:

• In Support of All Who Serve

Every honoree's name will be proudly listed on the Veterans Coalition of Pennsylvania website following the event.

Your sponsorship helps VCOP continue its year-round mission of providing Veteran outreach, peer support, wellness initiatives, emergency assistance, and programs that help Veterans find hope, healing, and connection.
